Oh yeah
Apr 25, 2007 @ 6:29AM (Trolan):
Took the current BSCI exam (642-901) yesterday to renew my CCNP. I'm good for another 3 years now.

Pointless entry to signify life
Apr 7, 2007 @ 6:04AM (Trolan):
Been a while since I last updated this. There's not been much to update. Just work, sleep, WoW and school. As noted in the last entry: "thrill a minute." Indeed.

Bump

Nothing new to see here, this is a bump. Main differences from the last post, which were covered on LiveJournal: As always, I live such a thrill a minute life. Right.

Communications Update; Part Deux
Sep 25, 2004 @ 11:08PM (Trolan):
I will retract my earlier statement. I will have texting, mainly as I'm exercising the number portability rights the FCC so graciously enforced on providers. My existing Cingular account will go away, and my Sidekick will be on my primary number.

Communications Update
Sep 20, 2004 @ 6:05PM (Trolan):
As of October 12th, I will no longer have text messaging. I reduced my cell plan as I don't use anywhere near the number of minutes I had available, and one of the casualties to that change is the messaging portion of the service. I might still be able to receive, as I did in the past when I didn't have the service, who knows. I've got some ideas on how to manage to throw something together soon to replace it. Stay tuned...

CCNP... completed
Jun 15, 2004 @ 4:15PM (Trolan):
The geek quotient on my posts will now return to their normal levels. I'm done with the exams for the CCNP. I've passed all of them. They're all done and in the past now. I won't need to take another one for this stuff for at least two years, and then a simple combined test serves to renew it. For those who don't know what a CCNP entails, go peek at this page over on Cisco's site. We now return you to your normally boring program.

CCNP CIT
Jun 14, 2004 @ 1:21PM (Trolan):
That's all I have left. I noted a brief break before hitting BCRAN (Remote Access) in my last entry, but it didn't happen. Fell right into it and took the test this morning, passed it handily. Nothing on NAT and almost nothing on IPSec, which surprised me. The sole block between me and the CCNP is the CIT (Cisco Internetwork Troubleshooting) exam, and as it's alot of the debugging commands from the first three exams and basic troubleshooting methodology, I'll likely be working on this one to take in a week or two. Finish this damn cert off.

CCNP BSCI
May 30, 2004 @ 6:15AM (Trolan):
Onto part 2 now: Routing. NAT, PBR, EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS and BGP. Such fun topics. Next monday, 11am. Presuming that goes well, then it's a brief break, and back to the books for BCRAN (Remote Access) and CIT (Internetwork Troubleshooting). I might manage to have this all wrapped up in another two to three months, maybe even before QuakeCon. That would kick ass.

Woot
May 24, 2004 @ 3:05PM (Trolan):
Ok, after only a day and a half of fiddling with things, I think I have everything ported over to the new framework that is significant to the site. I've left the PQ guild alone for now. Any problems you see with the site, let me know.

Things you overhear...

A: "Woohoo! An overflow! I feel accomplished!" B: "Most people feel accomplished when they overflow."
