CINS - CNet Internet Shell
These archives are only available via this web page, the cnetbbs.net FTP site, or via DCC from myself in IRC. A full demo version of CINS should be on Aminet, after the docs and help files are complete.
Features:- Small, fast, and resident CNetC code. (~33k for the main executable)
- Extensible command set (bbsmenu used to allow for sysop definable commands and additions)
- Easy to install
- Has a hotkey (beginner) and a shell based (expert) mode. The shell mode uses a bbsmenu for its command set, and also allows for use of CNet's "Everywhere Commands".
- Has a built in accounting system to do basic deductions on a time usage basis.
- Access Group settable limits on disk usage, as well as accounting rates.
- Configuration is done via CNet's VisualDataEditor or a GUI. GUI also allows for editing of FTP/Telnet/IRC/Archie menus.
- User directory module is very much like a CNet direct disk access directory. No need for users to learn yet another cryptic program. Hotkey mode is also available for those user's who want it.
- Most program text is stored in an external file (CINS:Cfg/CINS.txt), so as to be easily modifiable (like bbstext)
- Executed commands are controlled by an external file, for ease of sysop configuration
- Configurable telnet/FTP/IRC server menus
- User definable 'notebooks' containing their favorite FTP/Telnet/IRC/Archie sites
- Designed, developed and tested for CNet/4
- Maintenance module to purge out old files from user FTP directories after a specified number of days
- Web directory maintenance module to allow users to easily update and maintain a web presence on your system.

lacking are the .readme and the help files. Any problems with these,
lemme know before they go out to the world.
